The building is completely empty except for the people in our office and eerie wandering girls in spangles. There's some kind of baton twirling shindig going on upstairs. Overly-made-up round-faced girls keep asking me questions, their parents trailing behind them, carrying boomboxes in cheerful colors.

I think I'll go back to reading Coraline.

ETA: SCARY SHINY-FACED WOMAN! I'm serious. It's like she stuck her face into a bowl of glazing. *quiver with fear* She's scarier than the other mother, she is.
